If your BMI is below 20: This indicates a lean BMI, which means you have a low amount of body fat. If you are an athlete, this can be desirable. If you are not an athlete, a lean BMI can indicate that your weight may be too low which may lower your immunity. If your BMI and body weight are low, you should consider gaining weight through good diet and exercise habits, to increase your muscle mass.
If your BMI is between 20 and 22: This indicates the ideal, healthy amount of body fat, which is associated with living longest, and the lowest incidence of serious illness. Coincidentally, it seems this ratio is what many individuals perceive to be the most aesthetically attractive.
If your BMI is between 22 and 25: This is still considered an acceptable range, and is associated with good health.
If your BMI is between 25 and 30: You are considered Hefty and should finds ways to lower your weight, through diet and exercise. You are at increased risk for a variety of illnesses at your present weight. You should lose weight by changing your diet and exercising more.
If your BMI is over 30: This indicates an unhealthy condition, your excess Prosperity is putting you at risk for heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, gall bladder disease and some cancers. You should lose weight by changing your diet and exercising more.

So ya want to lose weight?
If you want to lose weight and have tried a number of diets unsuccessfully, I know of an interesting place to lose weight (I personally lost seven pounds in one month, with no effort what so ever).
A major reason many individuals in the west are fat and unhealthy is because of life style. In the United States, fast food chains are basically junk food delivery systems, designed so that all one has to do is drive up in a big old SUV (Stupid Urban Vehicle) and order from the SUPER SIZED MENU. Six out of 10 people in the United States in particular are fat because food is cheap, plentiful and in general not all that healthy. A few years ago I biked across Cuba and discovered despite all the problems they have there, Cubans live just as long as the average American and there aren't any fat looking people.
Ya dont have to be a rocket scientist to see the connection between the fact that individuals who eat lots of unhealthy food and do not exercise will fatten up just like pigs in factory farms. If the objective avoid living like a fat pig in a factory farm, the solution is simple: change to a more active life style by avoiding the idiot box among other things, exercising just a bit and eating healthier.
As far as so called organic diet supplements or hormone treatments IMHO they are just ways to separate you from your hard earned money. If you think Veganism is the key to loosing weight then all I have to say is good luck because it takes lots of dedication (besides a good old steak tastes good every once in a while). In general if ya really want to lose weight the key is to eat in moderation, avoid fast food cause it is really unhealthy, and walk around for exercise.
